Lindt & Sprüngli North American subsidiaries are merging onto the same SAP S4/HANA system and there is a growing necessity to provide accounting support and maintain master data within the ERP. Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. plays a crucial part in supporting the US brands in both finance functions and the overall governance of master data and is looking to add to their finance team.

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for shared customer and vendor master data setup processes, executing tasks in accordance with data management, data maintenance, and data governance guidelines, collaborating with various cross-functional business partners across the North American subsidiaries, and implementing master data guidelines for Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc.


In addition, this position will support the Accounts Payable Manager, Controller, and others on the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management

  • Create new and update existing records in Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc.’s ERP system (SAP S4/HANA) through predefined processes, as requested by business users.
  • Ensure requests align with the master data governance rules established by the master data governance team.
  • Develop and maintain master data processes.
  • Complete ad hoc requests that pertain to master data.

Data Governance

  • Support current and ongoing master data governance efforts.
  • Create and maintain Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. master data documentation.
  • Educate stakeholders on master data governance as it pertains to the various requests being submitted.
  • Hold business users accountable for following master data governance rules.
  • Collaboration across Lindt & Sprüngli North American subsidiaries.

Data Maintenance

  • Help manage ERP cleansing efforts, including analyzing data, collaborating with business users, and updating existing records.
  • Participate in software upgrades, design, data migration, implementation, functional and regression testing, and data validation to ensure quality solutions.
  • Escalate issues, discrepancies, and concerns to manager.

Accounts Payable

  • Assist with invoice processing
  • Monitor accounts payable email inbox
  • Load invoices and enter data into Psigen system
  • Review invoices for correct data/appropriate amount
  • Code invoices with guidance from A/P manager
  • Review vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received

Monthly closing process and other Finance functions

  • Prepare sublease invoices
  • Prepare purchase orders
  • Assist in preparation of cash pooling reports to the US brands
  • Assist with inter-company invoicing and monthly statements


Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant finance or master data experience.
  • Exposure to an ERP System (SAP preferred, but not required).
  • MS Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Access)
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-function partners
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to operate independently while meeting assigned deadlines
