Job Description

Lindt & Sprüngli is seeking a highly motivated and engaged Legal Counsel, North America, who will be responsible for supporting the North American brands of Lindt & Sprüngli. The tasks of this newly created role include acting as key legal support for the areas of Human Resources, Data Protection, Privacy, and Cybersecurity, IT, Procurement, and ESG/Sustainability. Additionally, the role will be responsible for legal compliance and associated trainings, outside counsel management, monitoring legal developments in their responsible areas and communicating changes, as needed.

Limited travel is required.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Qualified lawyer with strong academic record
• At least 3-5 years legal post-qualification experience, specifically Employment law/HR experience
• “Hands-on” commercial & contract legal experience
• Experience and success in working with senior management and international environments
• Strong advocacy skills, including the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate in writing and orally, an aptitude for practical negotiation with both legal and commercial issues, and the capability to think clearly and quickly under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in food law and/or FDA regulations is an advantage
• Prefer time spent both with a leading law firm and in-house with a large multinational corporation
• Multiple Languages
• International commercial & contract legal experience
